Dear readers,

I hope you all had wonderful Christmas with your beloved ones. I celebrate Christmas like every year with my family and our vietnamese community. This year it was very special for our parents. It was like 25th anniversary for them. 25 years ago they were setting foot in germany as foreigner with no knowledge of the german language but they all made it. I'm just the 2nd generation but some of us already preparing and some are already having the 3rd generation.



As a special gift for my parents to be proud, my sister and I were ready to sing a song dedicated to them and all of the parents. But before the show we all prepared a lot for the feast. The decoration this year was really terrible in my opinion but the choices were made by our parents. But the food was the best part like all years before. I ate a lot of stuff, so poorly me, I have to start my training all over again.

            

Even my boyfriend came after his own Christmas Party with his family and every year I appreciate it that he'd join our feast even he didn't understand a single word.

We always end the feast with handing of Christmas gifts and I got lucky like every year. My boyfriend bought me a small Valentino bag and my girls were present me a lot of new MakeUp stuff. I can't wait for next year.



Tomorrow my Niclas and I will celebrating our 4th anniversary. I booked a table in one of the fanciest restaurants in Hannover and we will watch the movie assasins creed. I can't believe the year is nearly over. But 2016 was an exhausting year. I wish you all a happy new year if I can't make to write a post before NYE.

only two days left and I feel the christmas spirit around the corner. My parents were preparing for the great meal with the other parents of the vietnamese community and I can't wait to wear my outfit.

It is the first time I'm not wearing a dress for Christmas, and I changed colour to black and gold.

I love my leaves rings I bought in Cyprus. As I bought one for my sister and me, we both will wear it. My accessories have to be as simple but chic matching to the outfit with a small bag for emergency MakeUp.



The shoes are definitely my highlight. I found them on ebay and I never heard of the italian brand before, but they have amazing heels. I love the glitter black and the massive gold line as details on these heels. More picture will come soon after Christmas Eve. I wish you all happy holidays filled with love and food.

it's the most beautiful time of the year. Filled with love, joy and smell of food. Even if my family and I don't really celebrate Christmas at all, we loved to imitate celebrating Christmas. We're using these holidays for a feast with our vietnamese community. It's like a big family meeting with food and entertainment.



I even already prepared Christmas gifts for my beloved, who will attend the big feast on 24th of december. And I was very surprised of varieties of wrapping papers this year. Every year they were selling coloured wrapping papers full of patterns and kitschy printed stuff. I was very excited as my sister bought me white wrapping papers with silver printings.





Very simple, but very beautiful. Adding little details to recognize which presents belongs to whom. Last year I wrapped everything in white with black ribbon. This year I will change to silver and gold ribbons.



I can't wait to see their faces while they're unwrapping their gifts filled with love and material stuff.

my dressing table is sometimes a real mess. The last time I found a lot of products I don't even use. The timing is perfect to tidy up my dressing table before Christmas then. Mostly I use the new and unused products as Christmas gifts for my female friends instead of letting them unused in boxes for many years.



I sorted every nyx product I have out and I never thought I have so much of them. Let's start with the first category: MakeUp Basics for Faces



Whether contouring kits, finishing powder or concealer, I have them all. But I noticed that I don't use foundations by nxy. Of this collection I can recommend you the finishing matte spray, when you finished with your MakeUp. But the pore filler has no effect on my face.



The next category is about eye MakeUp. It's just a small collection because I'm not really impressed of eye MakeUp by nyx. I am waiting for the double stacked mascara, but it's not available in Germany yet.



My last collection is my favourite collection. I love the colours of nyx lips products. I love the matte lipsticks. They're really cheap and the quality is not even bad at all. The colours of the soft matte lip cream are my favourites, but unluckily, they're not lasting very long on your lips. The lingerie collection dried out my lips too fast. But I buy them anyway, because they're long-lasting.



And the last thing I found was this MakeUp bag. I think it was a present I just didn't need. But now actually I use them every day. The bag is big like the biggest clutch I have and a lot of stuff fits in it. Very practical for me, because I have to commute a lot.

as you noticed, I already start the relaunch of my blog. It is not even perfect and ready to publish online right now, but I don't want to take my site down any longer. So, I decided to publish it even it's not ready, but I think you all deserve to have a first look of my redesign.



I'm still working on some changes and I have to reupload the old posts, but I like the new template. It's more dynamic with extra features. Some colors and links are still not matching yet, but the color scheme and my old new logo is online. I try to do it beside my job and my studies and mainly the preparing before Christmas.

the last days of November has begun and I experienced the pre-stage of stress of december madness. December is one of the most stressful month of the year. The last projects has to be done and published and beside work everyone gets crazy thinking of buying christmas presents.

I really like the texture of this eye-shadow. It is not too powdery so it won't destroy your face foundation., but it last for so long. what are the most important tools every artist need? That's right! Brushes! Whether painting artist or MakeUp artist, both species need their brushes to refine their masterpieces. The caring of brushes is therefore really important for artists to keep the quality high. And you even can't get enough of them. There were so many different forms and styles of them, you gotta have them all.



I like to make them in scene. To present them in a lovely way on my MakeUp desk and I think every girl loves to see their cups full of brushes. This collection I got from NurBesten (read the review here) is in travel size. I like the golden part of the brushes and the soft head, which I like to use for details parts on my face.

I just can emphasize to wash you brushes! It's more hygienic for your face and it would even keep the high quality of your brushes.

Dear readers,

fall season might not be my favourite, but I still like the sweater-weather. I prefer oversized sweater and this year I had to buy them in different styles. Here are 4 different styles I bought lately.

My favourite four different styles are still minimalistic in design and colour though. I prefer white, cream and grey in cold season, therefore I wear more often dark pants or jeans. The first style is very simple oversized. The V-Neck sweater can be wear as a one shoulder sweater. I like to combine it with a black lace bra, where you can show a minimal part of the black lace under the huge V-Neck sweater. And of course my favourite style is the backless one. I chose two, both in grey, as a backless version. The design of the backless sweater by forever21 shows almost the whole back and the detail of the sweater I found at Asos is laced up.

The last style is really special, but I got to have it. The Noisy May collection is definitely rare and have cutouts. Even the sweater has cutouts, but here it has cutouts on the shoulder part. One thing they all have in common. My sweaters are always oversized.

I will definitely show you how I combine oversized sweaters with my favourite velvet leather overknee boots. Stay tuned and don't miss it.

as promised here comes part two of our trip to Cyprus. (Read part one)
We enjoyed the harbour city Girne very much. There were so many things to explore in the small city and we had to try out a lot of restaurants.




After spending a lot of time on the beach and in the harbour city Girne, we decided to book a historic sightseeing tour to learn more about this country. The tour contains a trip to two cities Salamis and Famagusta.





At Salamis you could visit the ancient ruin city.
Out tour guide tells us a lot of stories and myths about the place. As you know Cyprus is seperate in northern turkish half and southern greek half, but the history told us they were both connected somehow. And buildings like gyms and or vaporariums were influeced by the greek. Only 3% of the archeologic state was excavated, so that we just saw incomplete amphitheaters or broken buildings. Some of the statue were even stolen by british and swedish colonialists. However, it was really interesting. Part of the sightseeing tour in Salamis was also chapels and churches.



The second part was much more exciting than Salamis. Famagusta is known as a city for students. There were so many shops and restaurants, but we had to be part of the tour, so we didn't make a shopping tour. One of the things you always have in turkish countries are basars. There were a lot of possibilities to buy clothes very cheap, but I decided to buy accessories. Our tour guide also advised us to keep our hands of basar food. They have to be eaten fresh otherwise it tastes like shit.




The best part was the little trip to the ghost town in Famagusta with the most beautiful beach in northern Cyprus. I definitely had a caribbean feeling there, but because of the tour I didn't even thought about bringing bathing stuff with me. That was a real waste of a beautiful beach amid of a ghost town. The last part was to visit the old town of Famagusta. I really fell in love with this exciting city. The old town also offered a lot of shops, but I liked the Patisserie the most, so we stayed there until the tour ends. I never had so much opportunities to choose between sweets, cakes and icecream, therefore we had to try a lot of yummy stuff.



This was the most relaxing trip I've ever had. We'd done nothing but kept so many memories. As closure of the trip I could enjoy the sunrise in Istanbul as we were heading to Hannover. The last trip for the next months and I am recovered and ready to work and study again.

before I went on my trip with my boyfriend I received a package by Max Factor. I was one of the 700 tester for their new product the Epic False Lash Mascara. My first impression of this mascara is the packaging. It was simple in gold on the outside but with a very special brush on the inside. The form of the brush was unusual for a mascara brush, but it said with its special form the brush is able to seperate the lashes clearly and makes it looks much longer like the false lashes effect.



I am surprised. Definitely. It really works. The texture is soft and not too massive what means you only need on layer to get the effect. It makes your lashes for about 2 cm longer and my absolute favourite; it makes it super curvy without an eyelash curler.



And the unique brush is definitely recommendable. It seperates my lashes perfectly and give my lashes extra length. It is super easy to handle, I didn't have any problem to apply with this special brush. I have to say I never use the brand Max Factor so much before. It's obviously affordable. I definitely have a crush on this mascara and it's absolutely one I would buy again. And yes. I can't find a negative point.

Dear readers,

I'm freezing right now. As we arrived the airport in Hannover I was shocked about the drop of temperature. For the last days it was about 30° for me and now I have to bear 9°. It was so wonderful guys. I enjoyed the trip very much as I always enjoy travelling with my boyfriend. This year we booked a trip to Kyrenia, Cyprus. I have to break my post in two parts otherwise it gets too long so don't miss part two.



Niclas and I had to work so much this year therefore I was so relieved as it was the end of august. Our trip started at our homwtown with the flight to Istanbul. We stayed only for 3 hours so there is no possibility to see the beautiful city. At least we arrived our hotel at 8pm and I was exhausted.

We actually booked a double room with sea view, but we were disappointed. The room got two seperated beds and no sea view as it was on the first floor. After an upgrade with to a modern room and a mountain view, our trip could finally begin.




This country is so fascinating. It's an isle. On one side you could enjoy the sea view on the other side there is the wonderful mountain scenery. Our hotel was very offside of the city, but it got its pool and its own bay.




We spent our first days at our hotel at the beach. We really needed this. Just relaxing without worries. And there I had this overwhelming feeling of joy. The sand under my feet and the warm sea breeze on my face. The water was warm even if it was october.



Beside the beach we had to visit the beautiful harbour city Girne and cost the delicious taste of seafood. Actually we wanted to book a sunset boat trip there, but our travel guide advise us against the trip because it could be too dangerous. It was nearly end of the season so it could be very dangerous with huge waves on open water.

But there was enough to see in Girne. We found a very nice restaurant at the harbour and of course we both ordered seafood. Fish, shrimps or calamaris were served with fresh salad and chips. As dessert Niclas proposed to find an ice cream shop, but I have to admit, the cyprian are terrible in producing ice cream.




We discovered a lot of small alleys and little shops. I didn't buy anything because most of the clothes or bags are fakes. They quality was really bad and it was expensive even it was just fake ones. But I decided not to spend so much money on this vacation so it wasn't really bad at all.

actually I'm very complicated in finding female friends. Most of the girls nowadays are guileful and stressful or competetive. Life is rugged, why should it be more complicated with those kind of girls? I'm very picky in finding female friends and therefore I was pretty amused finding this blogger.



Let me introduce you to Jen from Cheers, Jen!. She is absolutely amazing and definitely one of my favourite german asian blogger. She has the best tips about MakeUp and her personal style is unique. She is half vietnamese and half chinese, but born in Germany.
One of the most important aspect of a blogger is being honest and that's why I really think she is an authentic blogger. Her product reviews are straight to the point and her MakeUp skills round the whole post up. Even her tutorials are easy to follow. It is even very funny, that she has the same passion like me. She loves fashion, MakeUp, food and gaming. The best things in life!



I just can recommend to follow her, because she is really a sympathic person with humour. She inspires me a lot and makes me want to read more.

Dear readers,

thanks to gofeminin.de, I got two Pink Tickets for the GLOW BeautyCon in my hometown, Hannover. It was the first time for me visiting a Beauty Convention and I got I high expectations accordingly.


The first thing we saw as we arrived was masses of queues. The hall seemed very small and there were less exhibition stands than expected. The next conspicuous aspect was that every third girl was wearing an artist ribbon even when they not even looked like professional blogger, vlogger or else. My friend and I weren't really interested in the Meet and Greet section, because the acts were mostly YouTube-Stars and C-Celebrities. Actually we weren't the target audience for those Meet and Greet acts.




I expected a lot of free samples and new products to try on, but even this part of the convention was a little bit disappointing. Of course, we only got the restricted Pink Tickets, but you still have expectations. Some stands were organized really badly and some stands were just offering a makeover. I was actually excited about the exhibition stand of NYX, but even there they were just offering makeovers and a photobooth, where you also have to queue up.


           


Let's get to the best part of this Convention. The best exhibiton stand was from Flaconi. Flaconi is a retail store for beauty products every brand like Sephora or Douglas. Their stand included makeover stations, new products section and little store. We also had to queue up here, but they got the idea to hand out gifts, free samples and coupons. The section of DM was build up very similar and therefore good as well. We also visited the "Fun Section" with the Chupabulli of the brand Chupa Chups, where we got a goodie bag and some sweets.

           

I think I expected too much and therefore I think I was pretty lucky to win those tickets. I think it wasn't really worth it for me, if I'd buy those tickets. They had to organize it better, maybe a bigger hall with more brands and acts. In fact, it was pretty worth it for me and my friend. Even if we didn't get those Goodie Bags, we had a get a lot of things and a lot of discounts on high end products.
