south france

Dear readers,

I have a lot in my mind right now. I want to start all over with blogging again. More professional. But I won't have time for it. My dual study will start in a few weeks and I don't know if I'm really ready for it to give up my fulltime job. And if I'm lucky enough I will find my very first own flat. Unluckily, without Niclas which depressed me a lot lately. So, I'm just looking forward for our trip together this year. We don't have any idea now where it will take us.

As we're looking for some destinations I just remembered the trip to Provence en France.

I remember the warm breeze in the air. The climate in the south is always different. You nearly smell the ocean. It was my study trip in 2012. We visited 5 places in the Provence to enjoy culture and to learn more about photography and arts. I can remember the colours of the flowers, the old architecture and the delicious food.

We stayed in Avignon, a really wonderful place to stay. Our hotel was near the famous Pont d'Avignon and there were always some festivals at the river. And the architecture was a feast for my eyes. I was blown away and couldn't get enough to see more.

Our next stop was Arles to visit the huge festival of photography and the historical art museum with the beautiful flower garden. I'd never seen so much art in one place before and I really felt it. But that's nothing at all. We really had the opportunity to feel it, therefore, we visited St. Remy, the hometown of Van Gogh. We were able to see his famous bedroom which he painted once.

The last two places we'd seen was the great village market of Camarque and the sandy beach of St. Marie de la Mer. You could buy everything at that market. But I recommend the delicious street food they were preparing it fresh right in front of you and the sweet cafés on the bridge. That feeling is unforgettable.

In St. Marie de la Mer you could try out fresh seafood and swim in the azur-blue ocean. We have to decide if we want to see the beach of Côte d'Azur or the beach fo St. Marie de la Mer. Even if we all decided to see Côte d'Azur our teacher wanted to go to St. Marie de la Mer. I had to admit it was very beautiful, but the water was cold. Luckily, the sand was white, soft and warm and the best part of it is that it wasn't full of tourists.

France is unbelievable beautiful. There is no reason to destroy it or terrorize the friendly people there. But not only France. This should be everywhere. So many countries. So many cultures. And so different. Respect and appreciate it.
